Recommendation helps secure new contract
Accordio has been asked to advise Hart District Council on a review of its shared service provision as it continues to win contracts across the south east.
The team will be carrying out a review of the shared services the council operates, mostly in partnership with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, to ensure the service model is still fit for purpose and offering good value.
Accordio managing director Rob Neil explained: “Hart District Council has a long tradition of delivering shared services, but following an LGA peer review the authority decided it should make sure its shared services programme was still fit for purpose.
“The council’s cabinet made a successful funding bid to the LGA Shared Service Expert Programme and invited Accordio to carry out the work after we were recommended because of our expertise in this area.”
The team will be carrying out value for money assessments of the shared services, assessing whether or not they will continue to be suitable in the future and recommending alternatives.
“We are looking essentially at community safety, legal and customer services and will be taking on board the views of service users as well as reviewing the way they currently operate,” Rob explained.
